Update: Here’s a link to an article about Taylor from MSNBC.com.
Sad news recently posted to the Sendai Earthquake Family & Friends Link group on Facebook by Taylor’s family:
“It is with deep regret that we inform you that earlier this morning we received a call from the US Embassy in Japan that they had found our beloved Taylor’s body.
We would like to thank all those who’s prayers and support have carried us through this crisis. Please continue to pray for all who remain missing and for the people of Japan.
Thank you for all of your help you have been amazing”

Such terrible news. Deepest condolences to Taylor’s family and friends.
My deepest condolences to Taylor’s family and friends. I admit, I’d been praying for those lost, especially Taylor Anderson who was post again and again on the Sendai Earthquake facebook group. I hope that if her family needs support, they will turned to love ones and surprisingly I know they have a deep network of support on the internet they may also turn to for love. Rest in peace, Taylor.
Although I didn’t know Taylor as well as the other Miyagi-ken ALTs, I have some fond memories of her. A bunch of us got together for a book club, and I remember she was excited at my proposal of reading Watchmen. She was intelligent and kind, and both Japan and America (along with her JET friends from all over the world) will miss her greatly. I am keeping her loved ones in my thoughts and continuing to pray for those who are missing.
Thank you Taylor for coming to Japan as one of ambassdors from U.S. I am really sorry that you were in the disaster and lost your life.
You will be remebered for all of us as a great and ambitious JET.
My deepest condolences go out to her family.
