Overview:

We are seeking videos or articles highlighting local Japanese attractions, sightseeing spots, shops, restaurants, etc. throughout Japan to support the launch of a new hostel booking site for low-budget travelers. This project will start in Jan/Feb 2015 till the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.

Requirements

  • Native English speaking foreigners residing in the following locations.

o   Hokkaido (Sapporo, Otaru, Asahikawa vicinity)

o   Tokyo

o   Kanagawa

o   Chiba

o   Shizuoka (Fujinomiya city area) – preferred location

o   Yamanashi (Lake Kawaguchi area) – preferred location

o   Aichi (Nagoya area)

o   Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Hyogo

o   Fukuoka (Fukuoka city area)

  • Must reside in Japan for at least 1 year and continue to do so during the contracted period.
  • Able to produce and appear as reporter on YouTube videos or writing articles.
  • Content to be on local/neighborhood places you wish to introduce. (Ex. souvenir shops, temples, shrines, food etc.).
  • Prescreening of candidates required.
  • Guidelines on video topics and video production will be provided.
  • Videos must be original and the copyrights will be owned by the contractor.
  • Assistance with video production can be arranged.
  • Application deadline Dec 2014

Compensation

  • JPY 15,000 – 20,000 per video that is selected for feature
