Position: KIC Instructor

Overview:
The KIC Instructor is responsible for all aspects of classroom management within their designated classes, as well as adherence to the KIC curriculum, helping international students achieve their academic goals through English language instruction and preparation for standardized tests.

Key Job Responsibilities
-Teach classes using KIC curriculum, across multiple levels, as assigned -Prepare lesson plans according to established syllabus -Maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning, including maintaining classroom facilities -Maintain accurate record keeping for daily attendance and student performance -Complete all paperwork within required deadlines -Test, evaluate, and counsel students regarding their academic performance and goals -Attend staff meetings and in-house workshops; participate in ongoing teacher training programs -Become familiar with and adhere to company policies and procedures -Tutor students as assigned and if available -Work with academic supervisor to improve delivery of KIC academic programs -Accept and incorporate feedback on classroom performance to ensure positive and meaningful student experience -Effectively communicate with school administrative staff regarding planned and unplanned absences; provide clear instructions and materials for substitutes.

Minimum Qualifications
– Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent – 6+ months experience teaching ESL in a group setting (volunteer work and one-to-one lessons do not fulfill this requirement) – Or a Bachelor’s Degree + TESOL Certificate – Superior skills in creating a dynamic, interactive classroom experience – Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications
– 1+ years experience teaching ESL in a group setting – TESOL Certificate – Experience with industry, international students and/ or overseas teaching experience – One or more foreign language ability
