English as a Foreign Language or a related field

Planned Classes to be Taught
English (Please refer to the separate (Job Description) for details.)

Qualifications
(1) Native or near native English-language ability
(2) A completed Master’s degree or scheduled to complete a Master’s degree by March, 2013
(3) An understanding of the university’s fundamental principles founded in Christianity
(4) Can live in Ibaraki Prefecture

Required Papers
(1)One copy of a curriculum vitae with photograph (Separate Form 1)
(2) One listing of publications (Separate Form 2-1, and Form2-2)
(3) Offprints, reprints, or copies of academic papers (Up to three sets)
(4) A copy of Master’s diploma (if the candidate has yet to graduate, a certificate of enrollment in the graduate program)
(5) A letter of purpose outlining proposed education and research in this position (approximately 500 words in English)

Selection process
The first stage of the selection process will be an examination of the submitted documents. Applicants will be informed of the results of this stage by the end of January. Applicants remaining in the second stage will give a sample class in English only and have an interview. The details of these will be provided to applicants when they are notified that they have passed the first stage of the selection process.
