Job Position: Director, Patron Member Programs, Asia Society (NY)

Job Details:

Asia Society, a prestigious, global, educational and cultural non-profit seeks a Director, Patron Member Programs to be responsible for the planning, managing and coordinating of all phases of the Chairman’s Circle, President’s Circle and Friends of Asian Arts patron membership programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Chairman’s Circle, President’s Circle and Friends of Asian Arts
  • Manage all aspects of these patron-level membership groups with the goal of increasing support by attracting new patron members and upgrading current patron and general members while retaining the existing patron membership base
  • Identify, cultivate and solicit new members through coordination with membership advisory committees and Asia Society networks
  • Create, develop and coordinate programs, activities and special events designed exclusively for patron members
  • Manage patron advisory committee, strategically expanding the group of participants
  • Liaise with appropriate Asia Society staff for patron member programming
  • Oversee implementation of membership benefits
  • Write patrons’ monthly e-newletter and coordinate its distribution
  • Compose and send additional correspondence, including reminders, as needed
  • Administer and supervise patron renewal and acknowledgement process
  • Prepare and monitor budget for patrons’ activities
  • Prepare and generate monthly, as well as ad hoc, patron status reports
  • Ensure patrons’ database records are up-to-date
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Requirements:

  • Master’s degree and 7-plus years of fundraising experience preferred with emphasis on identification, cultivation and solicitation of donors
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Flexible, collegial and adaptable style
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player, engaging others at varying levels of seniority within and outside the organization
  • Computer literacy: Microsoft Word, Excel, Raiser’s Edge, and database management
