Job Position: Programmes Assistant

Job Details:

We are seeking a Programmes Assistant to work as part of a small London-based team of six, providing administrative and other support for the Scholarships, Grants and Events programmes at Daiwa Foundation Japan House. He/she should have knowledge and experience of Japan, good organisational abilities and full computer skills. Prior office experience and familiarity with standard computer software packages is essential.

The Programmes Assistant is expected to work flexibly and to deadlines as part of a small team, primarily assisting the Grants & Scholarships Officer and providing events marketing support to the Programme Director. He/she will report to the Director General.

Salary: c£20k + excellent benefits package;

Start: End July

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with day-to-day administration of the Grants and Scholarships programmes
  • Assisting with the sifting process for Grants and Scholarships
  • Filing and record-keeping for Grants & Scholarships
  • Use of Benefactor database system for Grants, Scholarships and contacts
  • Coordinating production of the Annual Review and other special projects as required
  • Assisting with preparation of publicity flyers for Foundation Events
  • Uploading Events information on the Foundation website as necessary
  • Assisting with hospitality for daytime and evening events – evening work required
