Position Description
NBR is seeking a Project Associate to provide administrative support to the Project Director in planning
and implementing the Pacific Health Summit and its related events and workshops. The Pacific Health
Summit is an annual event that strives to connect science and policy for a healthier world. Participants
include the top decision-makers in science, policy, industry, medicine, and public health from around the
world. The opening is a part-time to full-time, temporary, hourly position. For more information about the

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Communicating with potential and confirmed meeting participants through email and telephone correspondence
  • Conducting research on potential Summit invitees
  • Maintaining and updating Summit invitee databases on SharePoint
  • Assisting with private dinners, Summit workshops, working breakfasts, opening dinner, and private meeting logistics
  • Updating private meeting website and relevant pages of Pacific Health Summit website as needed (training will be provided)
  • Assisting with the Summit staffing plan
  • Assisting in logistical support for international delegations prior and during the Summit (e.g., assisting with registrations, itineraries, hotel reservations, transportation, private meetings, bio collection, and reimbursements)
  • Other duties as necessary

Qualifications
The Project Associate must have the ability to work independently on assigned projects; excellent
communication skills; ability to work well within a team; strong attention to detail; a strong interest in
event planning; and the dedication to the overall success of NBR events.
