A Japanese manufacturing company is currently looking for a fully onsite, Japanese Bilingual Interpreter to join their Rockmart, GA location.

The Interpreter is responsible for assisting various situations of communication between American staffs and Japanese staffs. Translator is responsible for translating emails, documents and presentations as requested by top management members and staff. Special Projects is responsible for following through on any business requests the President deems necessary.

DOE and skills, the pay range for this position would be between the 50k-60k mark and would come with great benefits. Entry level candidates are also encouraged to apply , especially if they have JLPT N2 level Japanese proficiency.

Your essential duties would be as follows:

  • Serve as interpreter for the president, Japanese staffs and Japanese guests as requested.
  • Serve as translator to translate documents and email conversations for all departments
  • Prepare quarterly associate meeting presentation, including translating president’s speech.
  • Interpret training for staff members and Japanese staff in Company introductory training
  • Assist Japanese technical staff with any matters concerning their stay in the U.S. including, but not limited to, handle issues with accommodations, personal family issues, relocation of Japanese families and etc.
  • Interpret communication in the morning meeting.
  • Translate presentations for customers
  • All other duties as assigned

Please consider the following qualifications when applying:

  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in Japanese and English, with native-level proficiency or equivalent in both languages ( Higher JLPT N3 an above)
  • Manufacturing Industry Experience: Prior experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly in the automotive industry, is a plus.
  • Interpretation and Translation Skills: Strong ability to interpret conversations and translate written materials accurately and efficiently.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Strong communication skills and the ability to handle challenges effectively.
  • Cultural Adaptability: Ability to work effectively with Japanese expatriates and diverse team members.
  • Flexibility and Alignment with Company Values: Willingness to adapt to different work environments and uphold the company’s core values.
