Description: TikTok has an opening for an Emergency Response Team Specialist (Bilingual Japanese) in their office in San Francisco, California.

About the Team: The Emergency Response Team takes on a two-pronged approach to ensure the platform is safe for consumption by not only reacting to emergent situations, but also taking a proactive stance on investigation related matters. The team acts as a vital bridge between teams, coordinating and managing unexpected risks and ensuring internal escalations are handled accordingly.

Responsibilities

  • -You will review and assess high volumes of inbound emergency escalations and make dynamic, fast paced decisions based on analysis of a variety of complex factors whilst adhering to applicable laws, terms of service and internal policies;
  • You will leverage your Japanese fluency to enhance emergency response mechanisms by monitoring and improving reactive speed and quality for effective implementation of action plans;
  • You will master various back-end data systems to ensure safety issues are handled effectively;
  • You will summarize and compile analytical, retrospective or data-type investigation related reports;
  • You will lead projects to proactively improve the quality of back-end systems and processes;
  • You will collaborate with global cross-functional teams to respond to issues, and communicate with relevant stakeholders to align on strategies;
  • You will participate in rotational weekend duty and demonstrate flexibility with regard to possible alternative schedules.
