Major accounting/consulting firm hiring full-time Japanese to English translators who are looking to join a growing in-house team with high standards for what counts as a polished, professional translation. We translate both in-house and client materials in a wide range of industries and specialties. Native English speakers only. Must be capable of producing accurate, idiomatic translations without the use of machine translation.
Ideal candidates have had 1-2 years of supervised in-house translation experience or equivalent formal training, are able to explain or reconstruct the rationale for all decisions they make in the translation process, strictly observe confidentiality and respond well to constructive criticism. Subject matter can be taught if necessary. Salary is commensurate with experience, qualifications, abilities and working hours. Nearly 100% remote.
