  • Review all accounting and tax documents by making necessary entries to the journal, overseeing details of business transactions, troubleshooting accounting problems, liaising with public agencies regarding tax issues, and providing Staff with feedback regarding accounting and tax functions performed.
  • Handle payroll processes by collecting and checking payroll information (attendance records, reimbursement reports), keying entries, preparing documentation for submission to ADP by consultants for all Staff, filing the payroll information and statements, supervising all payroll processes and filing the necessary reports, reporting necessary payroll information to authorities, handling the General Ledger, and liaising with public agencies regarding payroll issues.
  • Supervise Benefits and Office Administration by overseeing all employer and employee responsibilities regarding the 401k program, medical and dental insurance, and any other necessary benefits, handling benefits reports and termination of accounts, regularly communicating with all covered Staff, handling benefit issues (i.e. workers’ compensation, questionnaire, employee tax, disability, and FMLA issues, etc.), administering and verifying transactions regarding office rentals and equipment leases.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from four-year college or university in accounting or a related field; and four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience  CPA certification preferred. Conversational Japanese is preferred.
