Student Services Professional
-Advise students and coordinate logistical aspects of the application process for nationally competitive fellowships (such as Fulbright, Udall, Truman, and Rhodes).
-Research, organize, and disseminate information and assist in workshops and symposia regarding fellowship programs.

Typical Functions
- Serve as first point of contact for nationally competitive fellowships and scholarships and assess necessary response; meet with students on a regular basis to direct them to appropriate fellowships.
- Maintain database of students and track awards; organize, maintain, disseminate programmatic materials, handbooks and fellowships website; receive, track and manage student applications.
- Maintain and update information on fellowships processes including requirements, timelines, core values and best practices at peer institutions and at National Association of Fellowship Advisors conference and email list.
- Support administrative processes for the Fellowships Committee; advertise and conduct outreach for fellowships events. Assist in identifying probable candidates; advise students on all aspects of the application. Conduct workshops and mock interviews.
- Develop communications about fellowship programs for students and University community; maintain social networking site devoted to fellowships; visit departments and other campus groups to inform about fellowships and related issues.
- Assist with development and support of proposed course and symposia on fellowships and graduate school.
- Follow up with candidates and fellowship winners before and after graduation for networking and assessment.
- Minimum Qualifications or equivalent combination of education & experience Bachelor’s degree in related field and three years of appropriate experience. Effective interpersonal, problem solving, communication and organizational skills.

- Experience in advising, counseling, and writing very desirable.
- Pay Band: 29,260 – 55,595 [Note: the salary will likely be right around $35,000]
- (Salaries are set within the band based on each candidate’s education and experience, job responsibilities internal equity, and/or available department funding.)
