PRIVATE TUTOR NEEDED – ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY TO TRAVEL THE WORLD!
Boston-based family looking for private tutor to live/travel with them around the world from late August, 2009 through June, 2010. Primary responsibilities would be providing a structured education integrated with travel experiences for children (son age 12, daughter age 10) and providing adults with history and background on areas visited. Candidate would also be involved with various family activities such as skiing, biking, and hiking.
Tutor and the family will work out a reasonable pattern of involvement with the family to achieve the educational goals, be involved in various ways, and allow for personal free time. The family values the candidate’s commitment to this one year contract and realizes that it must be based on mutual respect.
Ideal candidate would:
• Be a college graduate with an education degree–masters degree and teaching experience preferred
• Have proven research skills
• Be intellectually curious with excellent general knowledge
• Be energetic, calm, respectful, discreet, honest and responsible character.
• Have a ‘can do’ approach, flexibility, and an even disposition
• Be self motivated and pro active.
• Be independent, able to explore on their own
• Be well-rounded
• Enjoy the outdoors, physically fit
• Have a happy and positive personality, with a good sense of humor
• Be mature with good common sense
• Have a professional attitude and possess good organizational skills
• Have good communication skills
• Be well groomed, non-smoker, non-drug user
• Be of good background and willing to submit to pre employment background screening
Compensation and Benefits:
• Salary based on experience
