Position: Kawaga Ambassador

Location: Kagawa Prefecture 
Contract: Full-Time; 2-years

Kagawa prefecture in Japan is looking for a KAGAWA Ambassador who is willing to actively help promote the prefecture’s culture and revitalization. Candidates will be screened and recommended to Kagawa Prefecture by the Japan Commerce Association in Washington, DC. Once the final selection is completed, the KAGAWA Ambassador will be appointed by the governor of Kagawa. This position is open to any former JETs and Friends of JETs. Please read the eligibility criteria below carefully and apply by December 18, 2015 at jetambassador@jetaadc.org

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must
a) currently live in the Washington, DC area 
b) be from Kagawa or have lived in and/or visited Kagawa 
c) understand the goal of KAGAWA Ambassador
d) be willing to take on tasks as requested
*There is no nationality, age, gender, occupation requirement

Responsibilities: The KAGAWA Ambassador introduces Kagawa to the area in which he/she resides and is willing to participate in interviews for promotion purposes (e.g. their impressions on Kagawa’s tourist attractions, comparison of Kagawa and the local area, and sharing information about the local activities). The KAGAWA Ambassador also supports the prefecture’s activities abroad as needed. 

Terms of Appointment: Two years  

Compensation: This is a non-paid position. However, any necessary expenses which arise to fulfill the governor’s requests will be covered.
