Administrative Assistant To The Consul General
Responsibilities include:
• Maintain calendar and phones
• Handle contact list and correspondence
• Prepare documents including letters
• Prepare materials for events
• Administrative duties for General Affairs
• General office responsibilities, including Japan-related inquiries and correspondence
Assistant To The General And Political Affairs Section
Responsibilities include:
• Administrative duties for General and Political Affairs
• Monitor Political Issues in 10-state jurisdiction
• Speech and letter writing
• General office responsibilities, including Japan-related inquiries and correspondence
• Generate daily and monthly political reports
• Research and report on political issues
Qualifications (same for both positions):
• Bachelor’s degree
• Excellent analytical and communication skills in English, both written and verbal (Japanese language ability is preferred but not required)
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Access etc.)
• Superior attention to detail
• Experience living in Japan or working in a Japanese environment strongly preferred
Work hours:
Five days per week, from Monday to Friday, 9:15 AM – 5:00 PM each day. Occasional overtime is required.
