Here are two videos of <\/span>Roland Kelts<\/a> (Osaka-shi, 1998-99)<\/strong>, author of Japanamerica<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, from a keynote speech he gave at the University of Missouri in St. Louis back in October.<\/p>\n

In the first, he talks about the connection between manga and anime and traditional Japanese line-based aesthetics–or what Takashi Murakami now calls “Superflat”:<\/p>\n
