\nNetwork Support Engineer<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Network Support Engineer II (NSE) provides remote technical assistance on our products to internal and external customers<\/span> and our partners in Japan<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Hours Mon-Thurs 4\/10’s<\/p>\n

Responsibilities
\n\u2022 Provides Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on our devices
\n\u2022 Proactively and effectively communicates status, plan-of-action, and resolution of issues
\n\u2022 Provides our customers and partners with a consistently high-quality support experience
\n\u2022 Participates in on-going training with our products and related technologies
\n\u2022 Maintains high schedule adherence (work hours and on-phone time)
\n\u2022 Effectively manages case escalations to tier 3 (Engineering Services) while maintaining customer communication
\n\u2022 Manages multiple cases and prioritizes based upon customer and business needs
\n\u2022 Follows standards-based processes defined in our Quality Management System<\/span> (QMS)
\n\u2022 Performs additional projects as required<\/p>\n

Qualifications
\n\u2022 Language requirements: Must be fluent in both English and Japanese
\n\u2022 Minimum 3-4 years experience in a technical support role<\/span>, working with relevant technologies
\n\u2022 Support experience with corporate customers in production environments preferred
\n\u2022 BA\/BS degree or equivalent experience preferred
\n\u2022 Hands on technical experience with and very knowledgeable on LAN\/WAN operations, Network protocols,
\n\u2022 Advanced knowledge of UNIX or Linux Operating systems<\/span> required
\n\u2022 Experience<\/span> with networking hardware<\/span> strongly preferred
\n\u2022 Intermediate understanding of TCP\/IP protocols and the OSI model<\/span>
\n\u2022 Proficient with Windows OS
\n\u2022 VLAN \u2013 setup and implantation
\n\u2022 Knowledge of DNS protocol\/BIND
\n\u2022 Able to work with moderate supervision
\n\u2022 Proven track record in a team environment
\n\u2022 Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail
\n\u2022 Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently, including technical concepts and terminology.
\n\u2022 Must be able to relay technical information to customers with varying skill levels
\n\u2022 Experience with Clarify a plus<\/p>\n

Physical Demands and Work Environment
\nDuties are performed in an office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table. Ability to utilize a computer keyboard. Communicate on the telephone via headset.
