Responsibilities include processing applications, liaising with SAF overseas offices and affiliated host universities, creating relevant program materials, responding to student questions, and the provision of personal, cultural, academic, and emergency advice and assistance for the duration of participants study abroad experience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities to Include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Work closely with the SAF offices overseas (Beijing, Seoul, Shanghai, Taichung, Tokyo) sharing information and promptly responding to inquiries regarding student placement, acceptance criteria, application deadlines, etc.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Screen, review and submit applications to SAF host universities<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Follow-up with host universities to facilitate quick turn-around on student acceptances<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Ensure timely and organized delivery of information and materials to SAF offices overseas, and SAF host universities<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Secure participant housing, orientation participation, class registration, and arrival coordination<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Create, and revise pre-departure orientation materials and on-site communication sequence<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Provide prompt on-site student support services via phone and email as well as after-hours student support services<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Coordinate and participate in SAF orientation and host university orientation programs<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Travel to SAF host universities to meet with participants and host university officials<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Coordinate and participate in SAF professional development programs for SAF member universities in Asia<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Accurately input applicant data into the SAF student database and create, organize and ensure integrity of applicant&#8217;s paper files<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 BA\/BS required, masters degree preferred with 1 to 3 years of professional experience, preferably in study abroad, international student advising, exchange student coordination, international admission, or English language program administration.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Adept at prioritizing and multi-tasking; able to arrange and follow-through on own travel plans (flights, hotel arrangements, local transportation, student programming, etc.)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Study abroad participation or experience living or working overseas<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, and exercise good judgment in addressing questions and problems. Possess strong teamwork skills and an interest in working in and supporting a rapidly changing work environment<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Energetic, creative with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, fluency in an Asian language (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) preferred<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Small collaborative work environment; lots of opportunity to focus on areas of personal interest in international education<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Willing to travel in the US and abroad as required; approximately 4 trips per semester (one outside the US) should be expected<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Resolving emergency situations may require additional work hours<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Willing to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please submit in English your resume and cover letter by email to: info@studyabroadfou ndation.org and include &#8220;Program Coordinator&#8221; in the email subject line.
