The JET alumni community already has a great reputation for writers such as Bruce Feiler<\/strong><\/a>, Roland Kelts<\/strong><\/a> and James Kennedy<\/strong><\/a> among others.\u00a0 And now we’re starting to make our mark on the world of film as well.<\/p>\n

JET alum Aaron Woolfolk<\/strong>‘<\/a>s film The Harimaya Bridge<\/strong><\/a>,<\/em> starring starring Ben Guillory<\/strong>, Saki Takaoka<\/strong>, Misa Shimizu<\/strong>, and Danny Glover<\/strong> (who is also the Executive Producer), <\/em>is making its New York debut on Sunday December 6<\/strong> (with Q&A and cocktail reception to follow) and Sunday December 13<\/strong> as part of the African Diaspora Film Festival<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

(Editor’s Note:<\/span><\/em> I already bought my ticket<\/a> for the Dec 6 date!)<\/em><\/p>\n

The film had a nationwide theatrical release in Japan beginning in June, and the response from audiences and critics was fantastic.\u00a0 (There was also a showing in Los Angeles back in June<\/a> that a number of JETAA Southern California<\/strong> JET alums attended.)<\/p>\n
