target=\"_blank\"><em><strong>Japanamerica<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, hosted a talk with <strong>Hayao Miyazaki<\/strong> (director of <strong><em>Spirited Away<\/em><\/strong> among other animated films) on July 25 in Berekely, CA.\u00a0 Miyazaki made a rare U.S. appearance to receive the second annual <a href=\"http:\/\/ieas.berkeley.edu\/cjs\/miyazaki.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Berkeley Japan Prize<\/strong><\/a> for lifetime achievement, presented by the Center for Japanese Studies at the University of California, Berkeley.\u00a0 (See a <a territory for Roland, who <a href=\"..\/2008\/10\/09\/jet-alum-conversation-with-haruki-murakami\/\">hosted a talk with novelist <strong>Haruki Murakami<\/strong><\/a> in October 2008 when Murakami
