Roos<\/strong>:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>There is to be a new kind of ambassador in Tokyo!\u00a0\u00a0I just read in\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/search.japantimes.co.jp\/cgi-bin\/eo20090609a2.html\" target=\"_blank\">Japan\u00a0Times<\/a> that\u00a0<strong>John V. Roos<\/strong>, a Silicon Valley attorney, has been designated as ambassador by President Obama and in my opinion, he is just what Japan-US business needs.\u00a0 But many seem to disagree. Why?<\/p>\n<p>The nay-sayers say he isn\u2019t the usual politico. I say\u00a0that is a good thing. They say that his appointment means the new presidency is treating Japan as less than important.
