Position Overview
<\/strong>The Senior Project Manager oversees multiple exhibitions and public art projects from concept through completion. This role is responsible for expanding public art opportunities to further elevate and position Tomokazu Matsuyama\u2019s work globally. The position leads and develops a team of three members, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient execution, operational excellence, and the highest standards of quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities
<\/strong>\uf0fc Lead, mentor, and develop team members, ensuring performance objectives are met and professional growth is supported
\uf0fc Oversee end-to-end execution of exhibitions, public art installations, and commercial collaborations, including planning, design coordination, and deployment
\uf0fc Develop and manage comprehensive project timelines, ensuring milestones and deadlines are consistently achieved<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

\uf0fc Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external partners to drive project success
\uf0fc Negotiate with stakeholders (with management approval) to secure optimal conditions for exhibitions, logistics, and risk mitigation
\uf0fc Oversee budgets and ensure cost efficiency across all projects
\uf0fc Translate client requirements into clear execution plans and align cross-functional teams accordingly
\uf0fc Provide timely, accurate updates on project progress and key milestones to management
\uf0fc Maintain clear, proactive communication with all stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
\uf0fc Build and sustain strong relationships with galleries, clients, vendors, and internal teams
\uf0fc Evaluate new inquiries and opportunities; conduct research and prepare materials to support strategic decision-making
\uf0fc Coordinate press-related activities, including drafting press releases and arranging media engagements as needed
\uf0fc Lead risk management efforts, including identifying potential issues and implementing contingency plans
\uf0fc Review and coordinate legal documentation in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
\uf0fc Identify and develop new public art opportunities; lead initiatives from concept through execution
\uf0fc Supervise team workflows, ensuring excellence in quality, efficiency, scheduling, and compliance
\uf0fc Support administrative and operational tasks as needed
\uf0fc Lead by example in professionalism and accountability, fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture while upholding company policies<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualifications<\/strong>
\uf0fc Minimum 5 years of experience managing teams of three or more members
\uf0fc 5+ years of project management experience, preferably within art, exhibitions, or creative industries
\uf0fc Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and faithfully realize the artist\u2019s vision, values, and intentions, ensuring alignment across all projects
\uf0fc Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
\uf0fc Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
\uf0fc Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
\uf0fc Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
\uf0fc Sound judgment and strong problem-solving capabilities
\uf0fc Ability to remain composed, professional, and empathetic under pressure
\uf0fc High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
\uf0fc Proficiency in Japanese (verbal and written), with a strong understanding of Japanese culture, preferred
\uf0fc Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to take on evolving responsibilities as needed<\/p>\n\n\n\n
