Position Overview:
<\/strong>The Program Manager will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing high-impact programs that advance USJC\u2019s mission and strengthen U.S.-Japan global partnership. Responsibilities include leading the planning and execution of key events, convenings, and leadership initiatives\u2014working closely with internal teams, external partners, and a diverse network of stakeholders. Topical areas of work include bilateral issues, leadership development, social impact work, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities:
<\/strong>– Design, lead, and execute USJC\u2019s signature programs and convenings\u2014both in-person and virtual\u2014including conferences, leadership delegations, and partnership programs and events.
– Develop and manage program timelines, budgets, speaker outreach, promotion, participant engagement, and logistics.
– Coordinate across departments to ensure program alignment and visibility.
– Serve as the primary liaison with vendors, venues, and collaborators for assigned programs and convenings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Gather and evaluate data and feedback from programs and events to support strategic decision-making and comprehensive reporting.
– Represent USJC at events and engage with members, donors, and partners to strengthen relationships.
– Provide on-ground support for other initiatives and events as needed.
– Provide administrative support as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualifications:
<\/strong>– 5+ years of experience in program management, event planning, or related roles\u2014preferably in nonprofit, international, or mission-driven organizations.
– Demonstrated interest in U.S.-Japan relations, Japanese American communities and history, with cross-cultural fluency; Japanese language proficiency is a plus.
– Excellent organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and deadlines.
– Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
– Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders.
– Flexible, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a full time position with an expected start date of August 1, 2025.
