The ADIA is responsible for increasing efficiency without compromising accuracy to admit qualified international applicants with a high level of customer service. Working closely with the Pre-Arrival and International Advising teams, the ADIA plays a key role in converting new admits to enrolled status by navigating new students to placement testing, initial advisement, class enrollment, payment, and orientation to ensure yield every quarter.<br><br>The ADIA\u2019s four primary areas of responsibilities are: 1) managing all aspects of international admission operations, 2) ensuring compliance with the F-1 and J-1 visa regulations relatives to admissions, 3) tracking international student data, and 4) co-leading the anticipated departmental database migration project with a third-party vendor and BC ITS team and handling ongoing technical issues with the database.<br><br>The ADIA serves as a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) and carries a caseload to work directly with applicants and agents.
