The program coordinator reports to the Director of the JICC.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Coordinate all aspects of JET Program: recruitment, inquiries, selection, orientations, departure, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plan and execute events independently and on a team: draft invitations and guest lists, create and maintain event logistics sheet, track RSVPs, budgeting, lead on-site coordination.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Respond to public inquiries on public diplomacy issues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in JICC administrative duties as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Skills and requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree with minimum 2-3 years of working experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work authorization in the United States<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clear and concise oral and written communication skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong, detail-oriented planning and execution skills, coordinating multiple projects and prioritizing various deadlines, with ability to produce quantitative and qualitative feedback<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of Japanese current events and working culture<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Computer proficiency, internet literacy, social networking service knowledge<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to use online meeting platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams to organize, host and execute presentations, panel discussions, information sessions and other events <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to organize, record and track data with minimal errors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to remain flexible and willingness to adapt in a team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Firsthand experience of JET Program is required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professionally functioning level of oral and written Japanese language is desirable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Conditions of Employment and Benefits:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Working Start Date: Middle of October<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working Hours: Monday to Friday (except holidays) 9:30am to 5:00pm including 1hour lunch break<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Holidays: Saturday, Sunday and National holidays (depends on office regulations)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salary: US$48,000 -$53,000\/Year (The salary is determined based on your experience and skills)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Benefits: Group health insurance: employer pays 80% of premium<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Application Process: <\/strong>Send cover letter, r\u00e9sum\u00e9, and a 300-400 word essay in English about the following topic: \u201cName a strength you possess and how that can benefit the Consulate General of Japan.\u201d Please send application materials by e-mail to\u00a0info@ls.mofa.go.jp\u00a0with the subject line \u201cProgramCoordinator Position.\u201d The deadline to apply is Friday, September 27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Due to the high volume of resumes we receive, only successful candidates will be contacted.
