Hills Learning is a NY-based language learning services company offering customized and personal Japanese language learning options.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>All three main newspapers ran headlines this morning about the release of the new Volkswagen Golf. Each journalistic style gives the reader a different image of what kind of car is coming to the market. The newspapers, however, did all focus on the ability of the new car to have better gas mileage.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5012 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/jetwit.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/interior.jpg\" alt=\"interior\" width=\"124\" height=\"93\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Nik<\/strong><strong>k<\/strong><strong>ei<\/strong> \u2013 (Glamorous) What\u2019s very interesting about the Nikkei\u2019s description is it cleverly overlooks the VW being an imported car, where as Yomiuri and Asahi focus on the fact that it\u2019s a German car. It starts off with \u201cVolkswagon Group Japan\u201d has made an announcement. The Nikkei then starts into the description with phrases such as \u201cequipped with a new form of engine\u201d, \u201ctechnology of a high quality car\u201d and \u201cthe parts have been actively pioneered to increase a feeling of high class.\u201d It makes you wonder who Nikkei\u2019s sponsors are\u2026<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<li> <strong>Yomiuri<\/strong> \u2013 (Economical) Yomiuri is the only newspaper that uses the term \u201chatchback\u201d to describe the golf. I\u2019s 5 person capacity makes you think more about a family vacation than \u201chigh class\u201d. Also when describing the gas mileage of the new model, they claim \u201cwhile driving on the road the car\u2019s gas mileage has been developed to have 16 kilometers to the liter.\u201d Nikkei describes gas mileage development as \u201cgas consumption performance.\u201d\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-5013\" src=\"https:\/\/jetwit.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/regularcar.jpg\" alt=\"regularcar\" width=\"140\" height=\"91\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em> <\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Asahi<\/strong> \u2013 (Safe) Asahi was the only newspaper to mention that the VW has airbags, and in fact mentions it in the title right along with \u201cgas mileage\u201d. It also gives an estimate for gas\u00a0 mileage (in kilometers) per liter of 16.2 to 16.8, which was higher than both what the Yomiuri and Nikkei predicted of a flat 16. Still not convinced it\u2019s the safest car?
