The Foundation Programs at Kanazawa Institute of Technology, Ishikawa, Japan seeks a full-time instructor who can teach Japanese as a foreign language to English-speaking college students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Teach up to 12 100-minute classes per week (Whether Japanese or English will vary based on the needs of the school. Japanese courses are only offered\/primarily offered during the spring semester. Applicants will teach Japanese courses during the spring semester and English courses during the fall semester.)<\/li>
  2. Contribute to course planning and materials development<\/li>
  3. Participate in and help administer extra-curricular activities<\/li>
  4. Attend staff meetings and employee functions<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

    Minimum Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. M.A. in Japanese Pedagogy, TEFL, Linguistics, Education, or related field<\/li>
    2. Work experience in education at the university level<\/li>
    3. Advanced or native fluency in Japanese and English<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Period of Employment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Full-time position for an initial term of two years with the possibility of renewal or granting of tenure depending on quality of performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. One-way transportation to Ishikawa, Japan<\/li>
      2. Shipping allowance<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
