We are headquartered in Tokyo and have over 20\u00a0international bureaus, three of which are in the United States: Washington DC, New York and Los Angeles.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Main duties include assisting our Washington-based Japanese correspondents by attending video-conference,\u00a0telephonic and in-person briefings\u00a0and\u00a0press conferences; tracking relevant news stories;\u00a0arranging and conducting interviews;\u00a0composing clear and concise memos on issues of interest; and covering various events, including those held by area think tanks and\u00a0Congress. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, because there are congressional\u00a0midterm elections this\u00a0year, coverage of various elections and campaign rallies and related events will also be an important part of the reporting duties.
