Thanks to JET alumnus,\u00a0Jeremy Salzer (Yamaguchi-ken, 2015-2018) for sharing the following information from his current job:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those of you who don’t know, I am a former JET from North Carolina. After coming back from Japan, I moved to Chicago where I work as a recruiter for an employment agency that specializes in Positions for Japanese Companies. Currently, we have two positions in the South East that may be of interest to recently returned JETS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Inside sales representative in Atlanta, GA: This position pays $18 per hour, is non-exempt (meaning overtime pay), and has a small relocation package of $500. Japanese language ability is a plus, but not at all required.<\/li>
  2. Translator in southern TN: This position is salaried, starting at $37,000. A $2,000 signing bonus plus relocation package is available. Advanced Japanese level is required, bur experience is desired. (This position may also be good for any previous JET looking for a career change!)<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
