He or she will process orders and provide support to customers and distributors regarding order status, pricing and delivery. The customer service representative works closely with the purchasing department and the warehouse to ensure prompt and efficient shipments, guaranteeing customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Detailed Duties &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0 Process and expedite customer orders<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Enter orders received via phone, fax or mail<\/li>\n<li>Fax and mail order acknowledgments<\/li>\n<li>Enter changes in request dates, quantities or items<\/li>\n<li>Make simple decisions regarding allocations in tight inventory situations<\/li>\n<li>Print picking tickets for order shipments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2.\u00a0 Process sample requests<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Enter orders received via phone, fax or mail &#8211; referring to sales representatives\u00a0 for qualification if necessary<\/li>\n<li>Request procurement of units through purchasing on out-of-stock or new items<\/li>\n<li>Arrange for testing of sample units prior to shipment (power supplies)<\/li>\n<li>Print shipping memos for shipment<\/li>\n<li>Distribute copies of shipping memos (file,\u00a0sales representatives, sales managers)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>3.\u00a0 Respond to the questions and needs of customers and representatives<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide price quotes (written and verbal), notify respective department, follow-up and stock checks<\/li>\n<li>Answer questions pertaining to delivery or manufacturing status<\/li>\n<li>Interface with\u00a0Operations Management\u00a0regarding delivery and shipping problems<\/li>\n<li>Give detailed follow-up to customers on shipments, researching track orders (UPS, Federal Express, DHL, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Review weekly open item reports when required by customer<\/li>\n<li>Fax pre-delivery paperwork when required by customer<\/li>\n<li>Provide competitor cross information (Semiconductors)<\/li>\n<li>Refer technical questions to technician or Sales Managers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>4.\u00a0 Issue RMA numbers for product returns<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Obtain RMA number from Service Pro for return of samples, incorrect or defective product<\/li>\n<li>Enter recommended procedure and action codes for disbursement of returned units<\/li>\n<li>Answer customer requests for status of returned product.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>5.\u00a0\u00a0 Provide back-up support on phones for incoming calls, participate in annual inventory (counting, data input, reconciliation), provide assistance during bi-annual audit.<\/p>\n<p>6.\u00a0\u00a0 Update customer files with supporting documents (purchase orders, correspondence, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>7.\u00a0\u00a0 Complete certificates of origin for customers.
