The deadline for all job applications is 03\/13\/2020.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work hours:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday through Friday, 9:15am \u2013 5:45pm (Lunch Break 12:30pm \u2013 1:30pm)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communicating and supporting relationships with government and corporate contacts, including arranging and\/or participating in meetings and reporting results clearly<\/li>\n<li>Daily research on Japanese business issues and U.S. economic conditions<\/li>\n<li>Writing and editing public statements and news letters by the Consulate<\/li>\n<li>Responding to telephone and e-mail inquiries from the general public related to matters under the jurisdiction of the Economic Division<\/li>\n<li>Various administrative duties, including support for Consulate receptions and other events (occasional after-hours work is required)<\/li>\n<li>Other duties as deemed necessary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree<\/li>\n<li>Interest in and knowledge of economic relations between Japan and the U.S.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent writing, research, communication and organizational skills (deadline-oriented and able to manage multiple projects)<\/li>\n<li>Is highly cooperative with other staff members<\/li>\n<li>A commitment to promoting Japan-U.S. relations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Process: <\/strong>To apply, please submit your resume with a cover letter to: \u00a0<a href=\"mailto:kyujin2@ny.mofa.go.jp\">kyujin2@ny.mofa.go.jp<\/a>.
