The Office of Institutional Development in the Division of the President at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST), seeks a dynamic and energetic individual to serve as Manager for Philanthropic Relations. This individual will assist OIST in developing and cultivating networks with philanthropists, foundations, and corporations to assist in building strategic relations and securing external funding. The position will report to the Senior Advisor for Institutional Development.<\/p>\n

The ideal candidate will be bi-lingual in Japanese and English, have extensive experience cultivating networks in the above areas, and will possess working knowledge in philanthropic giving and fundraising and be comfortable interacting with leaders from industry and philanthropy.<\/p>\n

Structurally, this individual will report to the Senior Advisor for Institutional Development and be part of the Office of Institutional Development based in OIST\u2019s Division of the President. The individual will travel between OIST and mainland Japan as needed and may be required to travel internationally on occasion. The Manager of Philanthropic Relations will participate in regular strategic meetings via videoconference and\/or in-person with the Institutional Development team.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
