We want to be a laboratory for the best ways to strengthen the climate movement and catalyze transformation around the world.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a href=\"https:\/\/350.org\/values\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The values that guide and drive our work are listed here.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Japan Digital Campaigner<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Japan Digital Campaigner will be part of East Asia team and contributing to\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a href=\"http:\/\/350.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">350.org<\/a><\/span>\u2019s campaign through innovative and creative engagement online and across all digital platforms. This position will be responsible for developing digital strategies and planning, producing, and implementing digital campaign and communication for Divestment Campaign in Japan to become involved in online and offline activism to help win\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a href=\"http:\/\/350.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">350.org<\/a><\/span>\u2019s key goals. This is a full-time position based in Tokyo, Japan and will report directly to East Asia Regional Team Leader.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div id=\"m_-2046698873810736611gmail-content\" class=\"m_-2046698873810736611gmail-\">\n<p>Mostly to be led by Japan Divestment Campaigner, but with significant leadership and engagement from Japan Digital Campaigner as defined below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/350.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">350.org<\/a>\u00a0Japan teams, project teams, and partners to identify opportunities and develop and implement strategic fossil free campaigns in Japan<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to a yearly strategic fossil free campaign plan development with input from other Japan, East Asia, and digital\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/350.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">350.org<\/a>\u00a0staff<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with partners on digital mobilisation strategy, planning, and execution, and attend key local and regional movement gatherings<\/li>\n<li>Cultivate\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/350.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">350.org<\/a>\u00a0volunteer and partner network in Japan<\/li>\n<li>Devise and run digital workshops or trainings with partners and volunteers to strengthen\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/350.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">350.org<\/a>\u00a0network and campaigns, if and when required<\/li>\n<li>Draft reports on digital campaign activities\/results when required, and work with analysis\/research team for conducting campaign related research, if required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Digital:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and implement digital strategic plans for campaigns in Japan in collaboration with global digital team with an eye towards growing and engaging new audiences and mailing list in Japan<\/li>\n<li>Manage digital channels and create engaging content to share campaign updates, victories, stories and otherwise support\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/350.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">350.org<\/a>\u00a0fossil free campaign in Japan &#8211; including crafting emails, social media, blog posts, infographic, videos etc<\/li>\n<li>Manage 350 Japan\u2019s websites in line with our global digital platforms and strategy<\/li>\n<li>Monitor digital analytics to ensure campaign progress<\/li>\n<li>Support volunteers and affiliate groups to leverage and grow their digital programs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3 years\u2019 experience in community and online organising<\/li>\n<li>Existing technical knowledge of HTML, CSS, WordPress and SQL, or demonstrated ability to pick up similar technical skill quickly<\/li>\n<li>Experience with managing email lists and social media accounts<\/li>\n<li>Strong, detail-oriented communicator who take initiative independently<\/li>\n<li>Able to work in collaboratives, fluid team environment and demonstrate commitment to end fossil fuel and climate change<\/li>\n<li>Business level English proficiency; Native level Japanese proficiency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired (but not required) skills and experiences<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strategic campaign development expertise and excellent problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Good communicator and collaborator able to work well in diverse teams<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of how online organising can help build campaigns to scale<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are looking for someone who is comfortable working both independently and in teams, highly responsive, and able to lead initiatives as well as take direction from others. \u00a0[Edit as needed, but this is pretty standard]<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Type:<\/strong>\u00a0Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong>\u00a0Although we hope to begin interviews during the week of\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Jan 29, 2018<\/span><\/span>, this job is open until filled, or the hiring manager determines that they can no longer accept applications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Start Date:<\/strong>\u00a0March 2018 (flexible)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Compensation:<\/strong>\u00a0competitive compensation based on experience<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Tokyo, Japan<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/350.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">350.org<\/a>\u00a0strives to be an inclusive and collaborative group of people who bring a variety of approaches to the work we do.
