S., Japan, and East Asia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">The Corporate Development Officer provides administrative support for Corporate Giving, ensuring smooth operation of all aspects of Japan Society\u2019s Corporate Membership and Sponsorship programs, as well as participating in fundraising activities in order to help the Development team meet Membership and Sponsorship goals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong>\u00a0(Other duties may be assigned.)<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Manage daily membership operations, including the timely processing and tracking of Corporate Membership renewal letters, payments, gift acknowledgments and solicitation materials, with follow-up by phone or e-mail as necessary.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Field inquiries via Corporate Membership phone lines, email inboxes, providing member service\/ troubleshooting as necessary while referring more complex inquiries to appropriate Japan Society staff.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Fulfill Corporate Member benefit obligations and requests, including updating complimentary mailing lists and producing and sending gallery passes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Identify and research new prospect companies, track cultivation and stewardship of prospects in consultation with Corporate Giving team.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Attend meetings with representatives of current Corporate Members or prospects.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Upkeep of Corporate Membership promotional contents (website listing, information packets, and materials, benefit sheets).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Track the Corporate Giving team\u2019s meetings with current and prospect companies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Proofread and copyedit Corporate Giving correspondence and Corporate-related e-blasts and materials.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Maintain Corporate records in Raiser\u2019s Edge database and member files, generating reports and lists as needed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Prepare meeting material for corporate visits (profiles, mailing lists, employee event participation reports).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Support the Business &amp; Policy Program and Special Events department as needed with preparation and execution of events, including Annual Dinner, Young Professional Network events, and other events.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Supervise Corporate Development interns, assigning various projects, including research, filing, data entry and other tasks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Support other areas of Development as needed.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Bachelor\u2019s degree and a minimum of three to five years related non-profit or corporate experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be very detail-oriented, organized, flexible and a team player with the ability to multitask.\u00a0Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and strong written, oral and intercultural communication skills are essential.\u00a0Experience with database processing (preferably Raiser\u2019s Edge\u2014including the building of queries and custom reports, exports and merges) strongly preferred.
