Institute of International Education (Washington, DC)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><em>Posted by\u00a0<strong>Sydney Sparrow<\/strong>, an ALT currently living in Toyota City<\/em><em>.\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/groups.google.com\/forum\/?hl=en&amp;fromgroups#%21forum\/jetwitjobs\" target=\"_blank\">Click here<\/a><\/span>\u00a0to join\u00a0the\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/groups.google.com\/forum\/?hl=en&amp;fromgroups#%21forum\/jetwitjobs\" target=\"_blank\">JETwit Jobs Google Group<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and receive job listings\u00a0even sooner\u00a0by email.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>Position:\u00a0<\/b><em>Program Finance Analyst<\/em><br \/>\n<b>Posted by:\u00a0<\/b><em>Institute of International Education<\/em><br \/>\n<b>Location:\u00a0<\/b><em>Washington, DC<\/em><br \/>\n<b>Contract:\u00a0<\/b><i>Full-Time<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The Program Finance Analyst (PFA) is responsible for the administration of program funds including financial set-up, payments, monitoring and reporting. \u00a0The position will support the Senior Program Finance Manager with analysis, grant\/contract management, and reporting. \u00a0The PFA will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and accurate financial reporting and adherence to contract compliance. \u00a0Work is performed independently under general supervision.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Financial Deliverables<\/strong>: (i) prepare financial deliverables, reports and invoices for submission to sponsor (ii) monitor collection of required supporting documentation (iii) track valuation and reporting of cost share<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Financial Accounting: (i) Set up new project codes, , new vendors and sub-recipients for payment (ii) Issue and monitor debit cards as applicable (iii) Work with Controller\u2019s Office to resolve payable\/receivable issues as needed (iv) Monitor checks and wire receipts from sponsor, credits and refunds from vendors, and other cash receipts (v) Maintain program budgets in IIE\u2019s financial system (PeopleSoft)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Analysis<\/strong>: (i) Review and analyze program expenses against budget, explain variances (ii) Support program staff, management and sponsor with ad hoc financial analyses (iii) Review tax, SEVIS, travel and insurance charges to the program, make corrections as necessary and submit journal entries for cost transfers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Grant\/Contract Management<\/strong>: (i) Comply with applicable contract and sponsor requirements, OMB Circulars, FAR if applicable, and follow all IIE policies and procedures (ii) Raise potential compliance issues; serve as a compliance resource for program teams (iii) Work with Grants &amp; Contracts and Legal teams to review vendor and sub-recipient agreements and amendments (iv) Ensure that all awards and deliverables are in IIE\u2019s award management system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"last\"><strong>Training<\/strong>: (i) Provide guidance to program staff on coding, IIE\u2019s financial policies and procedures, how to use IIE\u2019s financial systems (Concur, PeopleSoft) and explain best practices \u00a0(ii) Document and assist with development of financial processes and workflows for the program team (iii) Participate in IIE-wide initiatives and provide feedback to working groups as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Education\/Experience: \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"first\">Bachelor\u2019s Degree required;
