gift processing and acknowledgement; data entry and recordkeeping; and general office work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities (others may be assigned):<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Assist the Director of Foundation and Government Relations with proposal writing (narratives, budgets, attachments)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Grant management tasks such as acknowledgments, processing contracts and agreements, monitoring reports.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Maintain data entry, record-keeping, and prospect tracking via Raiser&#8217;s Edge.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Help research and identify new foundations and government prospects and prepare prospect profiles in consultation with the Director of Foundation and Government Relations<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Complete general administrative tasks, such as maintaining files.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Provide staffing support at various Society events, as needed<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><!--more--><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Bachelor&#8217;s degree, and a minimum of two years related administrative and\/or development experience (or the equivalent combination of education and experience). <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Must be a flexible and detail-oriented team player with ability to multitask. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Excellent written, oral and intercultural communication skills are essential. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Strong organizational skills. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Experience with database processing (preferably Raiser&#8217;s Edge\u2014including the building of queries and custom reports, and prospect tracking utilities) required. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Knowledge of Japanese culture a plus.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Application Process:<\/strong>\u00a0Email your letter of interest and resume to<span style=\"color: #0000ff\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"mailto:jobs@japansociety.org\" target=\"_blank\">jobs@japansociety.org<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Posted by\u00a0Sydney Sparrow, an ALT currently living in Toyota City.\u00a0Click here\u00a0to join\u00a0the\u00a0JETwit Jobs Google Group\u00a0and receive job listings\u00a0even sooner\u00a0by email.
