Doorknock-related briefings, USG Briefings, Embassy Liaison Program, etc.)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Gatekeeper for engagement with US Government<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Administration of the Advocacy Review Process (for any policy positions taken or official public statements made by the ACCJ)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Specific Areas of Responsibility Include:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Provide information, analysis and advice to ACCJ members on Chamber advocacy generally, USG policies and activities that affect their business interests in Japan;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Identify opportunities for ACCJ input into USG activities, such as Congressional hearings, public comment and other written or personal testimony;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Ensure the effectiveness of the &#8220;influence&#8221; segment of ACCJ activities, recognized as one of the three primary membership benefits, in the following ways, among others;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Facilitate the communication and incorporation of ACCJ views into USG policy toward Japan;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Help refine the expression of ACCJ policy views through the Advocacy Review Process;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Organize and manage meetings, lunches and other events that will facilitate communications between ACCJ leaders and USG representatives;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Provide input and advice to the Executive Director, other members of the staff (as necessary) and of the Chamber, regarding their engagement as representatives of the ACCJ with government officials and other key stakeholders.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Other:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">The preferred candidate is a native-English speaker with excellent English writing abilities.
