This person would work with the External Affairs Manager for U.S. Government Affairs in the execution of the ACCJ\u2019s advocacy work by providing content-related, logistical, and administrative support.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Other responsibilities include but are not limited to monitoring U.S.government related news and periodically briefing members and staff on critical issues, drafting public communications, proofreading and editing advocacy documents, tracking the rotation of U.S. Embassy officials, and updating and maintaining the ACCJ External Affairs database.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The EAC must work under tight deadlines, manage multiple tasks and make frequent contact with business leaders and government officials. This requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communications skills, and the ability to maintain good humor and a positive attitude.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Established in 1948 by representatives of 40 American firms, the ACCJ, a fully independent chamber of commerce, has grown into the most influential foreign business organization in Japan, with approximately 3,000 members representing over 40 countries and 1,000 companies.\u00a0A non-profit organization with over 60 committees that produced over 30 advocacy documents in 2015, working for the ACCJ requires a strategic mindset and great attention to detail.
