Fuji Television, Japan\u2019s largest commercial television network, through its US subsidiary, FujiSankei Communications International, seeks an Assistant Program Director to assist with daily news coverage in our Washington, DC bureau.<\/span><\/p>\n

Assist reporters in our DC bureau to cover daily briefings of various US Government agencies including the White House, State Department, Department of Defense, congressional hearings, and various think tank events, tracking and researching relevant stories, preparing memos on various news stories, simple videography, and transmitting video footage to our Tokyo Headquarters.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a unique opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of the broadcast journalism industry.<\/span><\/p>\n

The successful candidate will have a keen interest in international relations, US-Japan relations, the domestic politics of both the United States and Japan, and Japanese culture. He\/she will also possess intermediate proficiency in speaking and reading Japanese. In addition, we seek a curious, forward-thinking individual who is able to work effectively under deadline, can digest significant amounts of information quickly, and works well with others.<\/span><\/p>\n
