Administration and operational function of national and international activities remain with the individual school\/college or department that sponsor faculty, staff or students traveling abroad. The International and Domestic Travel Safety and Support Manager will help build competencies within the school\/colleges\/departments.<br \/>\n&gt; Qualifications:<br \/>\n&gt;<br \/>\n&gt; Bachelor degree in international studies, international programs, or a related field. A graduate degree in higher education, public policy or law is preferred.<br \/>\n&gt; Five years of progressively more responsible or expansive experience in global safety, security, emergency, risk management, insurance and overseas program management for a university, governmental or non-governmental organization, and\/or international business.<br \/>\n&gt; Knowledge and interpersonal skills to work effectively with faculty and staff, students, and government agencies.<br \/>\n&gt; Experience living, working, or studying abroad.<br \/>\n&gt; Ability to remain calm under pressure and in crisis situations.<br \/>\n&gt; Some foreign language proficiency preferred.<br \/>\n&gt;<br \/>\n&gt; Candidate must be a creative and collaborative individual to serve in the role of Manager, International and Domestic Travel Safety and Support.<br \/>\n&gt;<br \/>\n&gt; Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience in the following areas: international programs\/partnerships management, global safety risk assessment, and emergency response.<br \/>\n&gt;<br \/>\n&gt; The ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of stakeholders is critical, including faculty, staff, students, Trustees, and collaborators from around the world.<br \/>\n&gt;<br \/>\n&gt; Capacity to utilize information technology to streamline policy implementation and business processes is important.
