nonpolitical organization that provides access to information on Japan, offers opportunities to experience Japanese culture, and fosters sustained and open dialogue on issues important to the United States, Japan, and East Asia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The Web Producer is responsible for supporting web and e-communications efforts across multiple programs and departments.\u00a0This person is also responsible for updating and maintaining content on the Japan Society website, creating and editing our email campaigns, and assist with various other tasks including website optimization, graphics editing, and social media updates to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram.\u00a0 A key quality is attention to detail, strong project management skills, and a keen eye for proofreading web content for publishing.\u00a0\u00a0The position requires flexibility in working across multiple projects concurrently, with an ability to shift priorities when needed.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Create content modifications to website using a proprietary CMS.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Create and edit email campaigns.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Ensure design, copy, and content meet Japan Society\u2019s style guide and graphics standards.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Monitor and update SEO Meta data.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Perform a variety of web marketing tasks as assigned.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Use independent judgment and initiative in time-sensitive situations to meet deadlines.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Effectively organize, prioritize and follow-up on work assignments<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">4-year degree in related field, or combination of relevant education and work experience.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">3+ years work experience in related positions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Familiar with principles of user experience design, including issues such as usability, navigation, site architecture, information design and accessibility.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Familiar with Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Familiar with HTML and CSS.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Familiar with email platforms.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Familiar with Microsoft Excel.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Familiar with new technologies that impact user interaction and presentation, as well as backend production and delivery.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Experience with Blackbaud\u2019s Spark platform a plus.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Fine-tuned skills in accuracy and
