Publications Manager manages the editorial and production management of print and online publications.\u00a0 The position supports the marketing and membership communications through regular newsletters and the IIE online bookstore.\u00a0 This position works under general supervision. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Manages and produces weekly and monthly e-newsletters to IIE\u2019s membership network of higher education institutions, including researching, writing and editing content. \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Maintains and updates the IIE online bookstore and relevant sections on IIE.org.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Develops strategy for expanding publication sales and reaching new audiences, including expanding digital publishing.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Coordinates media activities related to membership and publications with the public affairs team.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Manages the development of publications, including communicating with contributors, researching, writing and editing IIE policy books and other papers.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Oversees the outreach and distribution process of IIE\u2019s core annual publications.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Keeps calendar of all deadlines and workflow related to IIE publications and newsletters.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Manages the editorial production for print publications and oversees the editing of online directories (IIEPassport, Study Abroad Funding, and Funding for United States Study).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Serves as editor of the IIE Networker Magazine, responsible for all aspects of the bi-annual production process.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Responsible for complying with applicable contract and sponsor requirements and following all IIE policies and procedures.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Performs other duties and functions as assigned.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Education\/Experience Requirements:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Bachelor\u2019s degree and four years related experience and\/or training; Master\u2019s degree preferred.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Four years related experience and\/or training.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">A minimum of 2 years in a formal managerial position.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Professional writing &amp; editorial experience is required. \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Strong experience with managing the production of publications and publishing process.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Experience with marketing and project management.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Superior editorial and writing skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Excellent communication ability both written and verbal in English.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Ability to multi-task &amp; manage multiple projects simultaneously.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Must be deadline &amp; detail oriented.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Have excellent analytical &amp; research abilities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Interest in international education issues, a plus.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Excellent interpersonal skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010;
