All the classes taught must incorporate       the use of Power Strategies\u00ae* in       the instruction.<br \/>\n* Administrative Duties: required to       administrate the following while assisting in foreign language       education-related tasks for Power-Ed Japan managements, such as:<\/p>\n<p>1. Manage staff meetings<br \/>\n2. Develop curriculum, teaching, and testing        materials<br \/>\n3. Conduct seminars for part-time teachers<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications for Employment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>* Fluency: Native speaker with English       proficiency<br \/>\n* Age: Applicants should preferably be under 40       years of age at the time of employment<br \/>\n* Degree: B.A. and\/or M.A. or US equivalent       accredited degrees, preferably TEFL\/TESL or related disciplines<\/p>\n<p>* Teaching experience: None required, but one or       more years of high school level English teaching in Japan would be preferable<br \/>\n* Japanese Language Skill: None required<br \/>\n* Computer Literacy: It is desirable to have       knowledge and experience relative to IT systems sufficient enough to use\u00a0      internet communication software such as SKYPE and to participate in Power       Strategies classes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Employment start date: <\/strong>July 1st, 2009<\/p>\n<p><strong>Length of Employment Contract: <\/strong>2 years &#8211; renewable yearly upon evaluation of the work prior to the end of the initial contract term<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary and Benefits: <\/strong>Annual salary of $30,000-$40, 000 (US) depending on qualifications and experience; cost of round trip airfare to Tokyo; housing allowance of $300 (US) per month. Transportation for daily work will be paid in accordance with the pay system of Power-Ed Japan. Health Insurance, Japanese pension plan, and unemployment benefits are also provided as part of the obligations under the labor laws in Japan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Documents for Application:<\/strong> * Curriculum Vitae (CV) with a passport-type       photograph attached. E-mail address<\/p>\n<p>* Academic Transcript for the highest degree       earned (the transcript should be sent directly from the institution)<br \/>\n* Copy of the diploma\/certificate for the       highest degree earned<br \/>\n* List of all publications (page numbers to be       specified)<br \/>\n* An essay on &#8220;English Language Education to       Foreign Students&#8221; (approx. 800-1000 words)<br \/>\n* One letter of recommendation<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method of Selection:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>* 1st stage: Examination of application       materials<br \/>\n* 2nd stage: Interview (in Japanese with       translation and English)<\/p>\n<p>Only those who pass the first stage of the selection process will be interviewed. (The individuals will be notified directly of the date of the interview). The interviewees may be asked to teach a model lesson at the time of the interview. Travel expenses related to the interview are available.
