TransPerfect has global headquarters in New York, with regional headquarters in London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.<!--more--><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Proofread all translated documents for grammar, punctuation and spelling errors<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Format all translated documents to mirror the original source document<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Give feedback to Project Manager regarding translated text in the form of a Q score<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Suggest subjective changes regarding style, smoothness, and feel of translated documents<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Utilize reference materials to maintain consistency across projects for individual clients<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Create glossaries for individual clients to complement reference materials<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Operate computer assisted translation (CAT) tools to improve efficiency<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Efficiently maintains formal disciplined operations procedures across a variety of client projects<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Track project-specific non-conformances and resolutions<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Assist with making new department processes while improving on existing ones (improve productivity, profitability)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Maintain strong relationships with contract translators, editors, and proofreaders<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Investigate client complaints regarding translations \u2013 holding both freelance and full-time employees accountable<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Be responsible for any errors\/omissions associated with their translation projects<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Track and report on company-wide quality metrics<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Juggle overlapping projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Perform other special projects or duties when required<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Essential Skills and Experience (Required):<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Minimum Bachelor&#8217;s degree or its equivalent ideally in a language field<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Native English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Japanese<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Ability to support multiple projects by keeping accurate and up-to-date project specs<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Excellent problem solving skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Satisfactory results on company tests<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Minimum passing grade (subject to individual language) on appropriate foreign language test, as applicable<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Essential Skills and Experience (Valued):<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Prior translation industry experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Experience with Trados or SDLX<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><b>Application Process:\u00a0<\/b>Join our innovative, achievement-driven culture, and you will discover lasting rewards and the opportunity to take your career further than you can imagine.
