The CICE is the college\u2019s main international and intercultural programming office and handles international student and scholar services, study away programming (international and domestic), international visitors, intercultural faculty development, and intercultural learning on and off campus.<\/p>\n<p>The coordinator will assume primary responsibility for managing a robust and growing suite of study away programs, including Gustavus flagship semester programs in Malaysia, India, and Sweden; exchange programs; short-term, faculty-led study away programs; consortium programs; and a healthy list of sponsored, third-party programs.<\/p>\n<p>The coordinator will manage the day-to-day activities of program administration: maintaining strong relationships with campus departments and program partners; coordinating advising for prospective student participants; providing support for program participants pre-departure, during programs, and upon re-entry; coordinating program outreach and publicity; spearheading efforts to make programs more accessible, to diversify program participation, and to build upon the program suite\u2019s existing strengths in sustainability studies, social justice studies, and learning-through-service; creating student program budgets and liaising with Financial Aid; assisting in course articulation and liaising with the Registrar; and participating in efforts to improve curriculum integration of study away programming and to enhance intercultural learning opportunities on the campus.<\/p>\n<p>Required: Master\u2019s degree (or a bachelor\u2019s degree plus three or more years of relevant experience that addresses most or all of the job functions listed above). Candidate must be able to create and maintain positive relationships with a broad array of CICE constituents, including faculty, staff, students, students\u2019 family members, and program partners. Flexibility, resourcefulness, organizational skills, excellence in oral and written communication, and initiative in both individual and team projects will be necessary. International\/intercultural experience (experience living, working, volunteering, or studying in international and\/or intercultural settings) is essential. The coordinator will also need advising experience and must be proficient in the use of both databases and Microsoft software.<\/p>\n<p>Preferred: A master&#8217;s degree in international education (or a closely related field).
