UK Trade &amp; Investment is the UK Government Department which helps UK companies export around the world, and assists foreign companies set up their operations in the UK.\u00a0The aim of the role is to:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Provide support to the Marketing Delivery Manager on events, marketing &amp; digital\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Provide support to the Marketing team and UKTI colleagues on contents, partners\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Provide support for Operations\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><!--more--><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The internships are designed for those who want to learn more about how an Embassy works. This includes learning how we help business and support British nationals living in Japan. It is ideal for those who wish to broaden their skills and experience in a real-world environment. The internships will provide you with a unique experience and in-depth understanding of the British Government\u2019s work in business, and Economic Diplomacy (Science &amp; Innovation\/Climate Change &amp; Energy\/Economic &amp; Trade Policy).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Successful candidates will be enthusiastic, quick learners with the ability to work with minimum oversight and challenge the status quo. Candidates should be looking to stretch themselves in a new environment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">A proven ability to undertake research work is an advantage, along with strong oral and written communication and IT skills. We will consider applications from those both with and without formal work experience. The work is likely to involve a mixture of policy and administrative tasks\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Administration support \u2013 e.g. translation, customer pipeline, marketing collateral\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Research of Japanese business audience and potential for UK-Japan markets\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Design creative presentations with the latest market information, via Prezi etc.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Support regular communications to UK Exporters through newsletters\/campaigns\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Support for wider teams at events when required\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Manage marketing collateral with Marketing Support Officer\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Requirements:\u00a0<\/strong>Native-level or JLPT Level 1 Japanese to a high standard and fluency in spoken and written English.
