The Public Relations and Culture Department of the Consulate General of Japan in Miami has an opening for aCultural Affairs and Public Relations Assistant. The ideal candidate will be excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills in team planning, public speaking and presenting are required.<\/p>\n

JOB DUTIES:<\/p>\n

Coordinate all aspects of the JET (Japan Exchange & Teaching ) Program and Japanese Government Scholarship Program
\nDraft power-point presentations and talking points for officials
\nSpeech editing and writing for officials
\nResearch and report on a number of Japan related educational and cultural items in Florida
\nVisit local schools and present about Japanese culture
\nUpdating the consulate\u2019s website
\nCoordinate and assist other Consulate staff with any team projects, events, mass distributions and other duties
\nAny other general administrative duties<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n

Bachelor\u2019s degree
\nNative English
\nStrong writing, research and organization skills
\nKnowledge of html code, and web editing software
\nKnowledge of Japanese culture, society and\/or prior work experience in a Japanese company or organization will be a strong advantage. Japanese language ability will also be an advantage.
\nAble to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and overnight trips
