The Rotary Foundation is now accepting applications for the fully-funded Rotary Peace Fellowship<\/a>. The fellowship provides academic and practical training to prepare fellows for leadership roles in solving today\u2019s global challenges.<\/p>\n

Up to 100 fellows are selected globally every year to earn either a master\u2019s degree or a professional development certificate in peace and conflict studies at one of six Rotary Peace Centers at leading universities in Japan, Australia, England, the United States, Sweden and Thailand.<\/p>\n

Since 2002, Rotary Peace Centers has provided over 900 social impact leaders with peace and conflict resolution education and field experience. Our alumni work in over 100 countries with organizations ranging from grassroots peace initiatives in Africa to the United Nations.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In particular, we believe you might be interested in the opportunity for master\u2019s level study at the Rotary Peace Center at International Christian University<\/a> in Tokyo, Japan.<\/p>\n

Rotary Peace Fellow Mark Flanigan graduated with an MA in Peace Studies from International Christian University (ICU) in 2012. He is a former JET Programme participant (Nagasaki, 2000-04) who is currently serving as a Program Director with the Japan ICU Foundation (\u65e5\u672c\u56fd\u969b\u57fa\u7763\u6559\u5927\u5b66\u8ca1\u56e3) in New York City.<\/p>\n

\u201cICU is known throughout Asia as a premier educational institution,\u201d Flanigan says. \u201cICU has world-class faculty in peace studies, international relations, and related disciplines. I was able to take excellent Japanese language classes, which are not required, but proved to be quite helpful in appreciating the people, culture, and traditions of Japan. As a graduate of this fine institution, I can assure you that you will have an amazing education and truly life-changing experience there.\u201d<\/p>\n
