Position Summary\/Purpose of Position:<\/span><\/p>\n

As one of a three-person short-term program team, the person in this position manages a portfolio of credit-bearing, faculty\/staff-led, short-term study abroad programs in multiple countries with duties including but not limited to program development, student recruitment, application process management, application review, enrollment management, in-country support, risk management, and program evaluation. This position reports to the Associate Director for Programs and serves as the primary point of contact for faculty and staff leading short-term programs.<\/p>\n

Minimum Qualifications:<\/span>
\nBachelor’s degree.
\nThree years of work experience in study abroad or related field, including study or work abroad experience.
\nExperience with study abroad program administration.
\nExcellent communication, organizational, multi-tasking and cross-cultural skills.
\nDemonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environment.
\nDemonstrated ability to handle multiple and sometimes competing priorities and provide excellent outcomes within required timeframes.
\nAbility to follow up and follow through on projects.
\nPrior professional work finalizing logistical program details.
\nExperience with risk management to promote the health and safety of students.
\nDemonstrated ability to work well with faculty, administrators, advisers, staff and students.
\nStrong collaborative skills<\/p>\n

Preferences:<\/span><\/p>\n

Master’s degree
\nExperience developing and administering short-term study abroad programs strongly preferred.
\nKnowledge of budget models and ability to analyze financial reports strongly preferred.
\nSupervisory experience strongly preferred.
\nFamiliarity with data collection and analysis preferred.
\nParticipation and leadership in regional, national and international conferences and organizations preferred.
\nForeign language ability preferred.
\nExperience with StudioAbroad or other online application management software preferred.
\nExperience working with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet software preferred.
\nExperience working at a large public research 1 institution preferred.<\/p>\n

Possession of (or ability to obtain) a valid passport. International travel may be required for this position.<\/p>\n
