International Student Advisor, International Student and Scholar Services<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/span><\/p>\n

Advises international students on matters of personal and cultural adjustment. \u00a0Advises F-1 students on immigration matters, keeps abreast of changes in relevant immigration regulations, and assists with SEVIS reporting and compliance. \u00a0May represent the University as a Designated School Official. \u00a0Helps develop and implement programs designed to enhance the overall experience of international students, and which facilitate opportunities for the international student population to contribute to the multicultural face of the University. \u00a0Plays an active role in International Student Orientation, International Education Week, workshops, trips, activities and other programs for international students.<\/p>\n

Minimum Qualifications\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Master’s degree or other advanced degree, and minimum of one year of experience advising international students. \u00a0Demonstrated knowledge of F-1 immigration regulations. \u00a0Excellent written and spoken communication skills, strong computer skills and outstanding customer orientation. \u00a0Demonstrated intercultural skills and first-hand experience in a multicultural setting. \u00a0U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Residency required, as mandated by federal regulations.<\/p>\n

Preferred Qualifications<\/span><\/p>\n

Significant overseas experience (e.g. Peace Corps, study abroad). \u00a0Intermediate\/Advanced knowledge of F-1 regulations. \u00a0Basic knowledge of J-1 regulations. \u00a0Experience using Sunapsis.<\/p>\n

Salary Range:\u00a0 $43,657-$48,500<\/p>\n
